About AAMHP

The AAMHP is a multidisciplinary group consisting of:

  • Physiotherapist
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Nurses
  • OHS practitioners
  • Ergonomists
  • other interested persons

We aim to:

  • Foster exchange and promote the improvement of training and practice in the manual handling of people
  • Develop a supportive and collaborative network of people who are interested in the manual handling of people
  • Provide a forum for sharing information and education about the manual handling of people
  • Support other activities that further the understanding and improved practice in the manual handling of people

We achieve these aims by:

  • Holding meetings every two months with guest speakers
  • Providing an e-mail networking group for our members
  • Providing a web page for our members and the general community
  • Hosting bi-annual conferences (for more info)
